Hello,


We are on Odoo Enterprise V13. I need a way to provide my sales staff with access to the tracking numbers that are associated with their sales orders. It appears I would have to give each of them access to the Inventory App to do this and that is not an option for us given the complexity of the Inventory App and having to then train each salesperson on how to use another app just so they can access tracking numbers for their customers.


I have tried using Studio to add the carrier_tracking_ref field to the sales order but this wasn't possible.


I have tried adding a Smart Button emulating the Tracking button that appears on the delivery orders but this wasn't possible either.


Does anybody have suggestions on how I can provide my sales staff with greater visibility to the shipping status and tracking numbers of their sales orders via the Sales App?

Have them click the Customer Preview button on each Sales Order:


From here they are directed to the Customer Portal where they can review the Delivery Orders:

 


Even better, empower Customers to check here themselves!
