We need to trace 10 components when used in manufacturing a product. During production the exact quantity of each component used is not possible to ascertain so it is not possible to plan the before manufacturing. The current way to keep traceability is done by producing in sequential order and taking note of which product is being assembled each time a component finishes and is replaced by another LOT. When this happens our current database (not Odoo) assumes that the component LOTs that have not been updated will remain the same and only the one updated will change for all the products until the next change. Also it is not feasible to do production one by one, especially when an order would normally consist of thousands of products. What is the quickest and easiest way of linking each of the 10 components (and their LOT codes) to each of the 20000pcs pcs produced after the material has already been transferred to pre-production?
