This is because Odoo is evolving, basically Odoo was OpenERP the ERP system for a lot of enterprises, now they're evolving and adding the content management system, ecommerce and more. But this is not released officially yet so you're not going to find so many examples. As ERP they've been working with lots of enterprises but as internal systems, so you're not going to enter unless you have an username and password. You can create a demo website to check Odoo functionality
