Am using ODOO11, some of the product variants are being deactivated or archived automatically, which hides all the properties of main products like cost,stock,barcode etc..
what will the problem be?
how can it be solved?

hi, product template for which you create variant is not archived?
no, only the product variant is archived
it seems so that you made automated action 'on create' condition to archive. check them.
but how come only some product variants are being archived not all
have you checked? maybe you or someone don but conditions is set for some product templates. check them. to be sure.
yes checked just now, there are no automated or scheduled actions set
too less information to guess. but one point. maybe variant which you create have attribute which 'create variant' option is set to 'never' or 'product added to sales order'.
can you please tell how to solve this?

I'm having the same issue in V13CE.
1. Create a product template
2. Add variants. Actually only one value per attribute is added, and attributes are set to create on sale
3. add product to sale order & select variant from product configurator
4. error in sales order & product variant is created, but archived.
