I need an overview of how to mount a point of sale on v8, is there any software configuration ( payment methods, ... )

What is the hardware structure needed to mount a point of sale ? 

I know that we need a specific type of printer, maybe a posbox for tablets, barcode scanner, ... 

But I need a very specific type of material, and how to connect each material to the point of sale screen, and so on. 

Can anybody give links, ressources about it ? Does anyone have a full experience on deploying a point of sale for a customer ?
