I am working on implementing odoo and would like to know how to handle the product setup while following odoo's best practices.  I have already installed the Emipro Amazon Connector also.  Below is my scenario:


Product A: Big bag of dog food that has multiple different weights and prices

----> Variant A: 15lb (unique UPC, Cost, Weight and Price)

----> ---->ASINA: Amazon listing for Variant A

----> ---->ASINB: Duplicate Amazon listing (different ASIN)

---->Variant B: 30lb (unique UPC, cost, weight and price)

----> ---->ASINC: Amazon listing for Variant B


My question is:  Should I create each size bag as it's own product since the pricing will be different and not necessarily a standardized "extra price" under the variant config?  Or is there a way to handle the price difference without creating an additional variant option for every single product that has the same bag size?

I hope I understood your question correctly (and disclaimer: I haven't used Emipro Amazon Connector), but if you go and create your Product: Dog Bag, then under the tab "Attributes and Variants" you can put Attribute Size and add the values (ex. small (15 lb) and large (30 lb)).

Then after you save it, on the right side it will activate the button "configure", for which you can add the Value Price Extra for each variant you have (15 lb and 30 lb).

This "extra price" is not standardized for all products, meaning that one product that has an extra price for large bag of $20 doesn't translate to product B large bag having the same extra price (20$) but the large price that I newly configured for it (30$ for example). 

So each different product has a variant Small/Large with different pricing. No need to create new product for each variant, just set the prices for each variant in configure.
