Hello Kashif,

First of all you need to have understand architecture of odoo 10. there can be 2 kind of migration, Data or module migration.

If you need to migrate your data you can always use openupgrade but if you have custom module data then you have to do it manually.

same way for custom module migration you have to do it from 8>9 and 9>10.
