Dear all,

Whenever I want to issue a Credit Note for an invoice by choosing the "Add Credit Note" button from the invoice view, this is connected by default to the journal "Customer Invoices". 

I would like to have a different numbering and sequences for my credit notes so I created a journal called "Customer Credit Notes" and the associated sequence. However whenever I want to issue a credit note in order to refund/cancel an invoice and I click on the "Add Credit Note", this is associated with the journal "Customer Invoices".

Could you please guide me how can I associate the "Add Credit Note" button with another journal that I created?

Hi, click on "Add Credit Note" button, it will open credit note pop up, enter the reason of  return and click on "Add credit Note" button.

  • It will show draft credit note, you just open it and click on "edit" button .

  • Then click on "Other Info" tab

  • The fist menu will show the "Journal", here you can select customer credit note.

  • Then click on "Validate" button, now it will take credit note sequence instead of invoice sequence.
