I have heard there is a feature for selecting 4 layout of invoice for printing in odoo 11
how do i configure it ?

Activate Developer Mode, -> Settings -> Technical -> User Interface -> View
Find one of the layouts below for the header of template:
web.external_layout_background;
web.external_layout_boxed;
web.external_layout_clean;
web.external_layout_standard
Hello,
is it possible to edit the layout of those templates?
I cannot find the corresponding QWeb views.

Having the same issue. The first time I tried to print was given me the option to choose the layout. Since then I cannot find where to change it from.

Please go through the menu (Odoo v11):
--> Settings > General Settings > In first section 'Business Documents > Document
Template .
> Here you can select any of the template type as below :
(background,box,standard,clean)
