Dear all,

I am starting using Odoo 11.0 in Saas version.

Most of my products are made from 30-100 articles, so I do not want to write my BOMs manually but want to load the excel files I already have into Odoo.

I don't find how to import my BOMs, I can only add article by article when I create a BOM.

So then I search for apps doing this, I found this app : https://www.odoo.com/apps/modules/11.0/dev_import_bill_of_materials/

But finally, I found out that I could not install apps if I am using the saas version, is this true ? https://www.odoo.com/forum/help-1/question/how-to-install-a-community-app-36781

Is there a solution to import BOMs from excel or csv files when using the saas mode?

Thanks in advance,

Regards

Nathan

Just to answer about the saas version: It is correct. You cannot have custom development on the Odoo SaaS environment, this is the biggest downside from the Odoo official SaaS.

Hello Nathan,

You can do one BOM with 2 or 3 BoM lines. Then export to excel the entire BoM, including the BoM lines. In the excel files, you will see what are the fields necessary to put all the data you need it.

I confirm, no need for any additional modules to import BOM in your system. If you check Odoo official documentation there are helps and template that you can check.
