yes i want to make changes in the xml and scss files.

i try to upgrade the module from the command line 

python odoo/odoo-bin -c odoo/debian/odoo.conf -u theme_boec -d MynewDB

but it's still not update the theme, i also try to use update list and update, but nothing work

note: the theme is not in the app list it's only shows in the website themes when i try to pick one.

please help

Note sure what changes you made inside the module, anyway you have specified that you are new to odoo development, you can ensure the below points

* make sure that you are editing the same source code of module, ie in the addons path
* if the changes are in python level, restart the odoo service
* for xml and other changes, restart and upgrade the module in the database.

* make sure that the module has been successfully installed in the db.
