I have an Odoo running on localhost (not hosted under any domain address outside) and I want to test incoming emails locally. (Specifically, I want to test the feature of creating new tasks in Project from email.) What can I do to send an email from my computer to Odoo running on that same local machine?

Hi,
1. Navigate to Settings -> Technical -> Email -> Incoming Mail Servers.
2. Upon clicking the ‘New’ button, you'll be directed to the form view of the Incoming Mail Server.
3. Fill in the required information, to set up the Incoming Mail Server.
4. In the "ACTIONS TO PERFORM ON INCOMING MAILS" section, choose the model you want to create new records when an email arrives.

Thank you, but this doesn't answer my question of "How to send emails to Odoo?"
What I wanted to know is what exactly I'm supposed to do after I have already set up an incoming mail server. What specific software can I use to send the email and how to configure it (I obviously can't use Gmail, since, as I mentioned, my Odoo is running locally and isn't visible to any external network) and what is the recipient's email address I'm supposed to type in?
