I want to turn off the auto reserve function when all stock moves in stock picking are available.

When a sale order is successfully confirmed and becomes a delivery order, if the delivery order turns out that all stock moves or products are available, the delivery order will be immediately reserved without the user doing any clicks, I want this function to be turned off so that the end result is that when all products are available, the delivery order is not automatically reserved.

Hi,

In Odoo, this can be handled using reservation methods. Reservation methods control how products included in a delivery order (DO) should be reserved for delivery, ensuring they are reserved at the correct times, for the correct orders. There are three different reservation methods in Odoo: At Confirmation, Manually, and Before scheduled date. Please set the reservation is "Manually." Once a quote is confirmed, product availability must be checked manually, and the required quantity must be reserved manually.

Hi,

You're absolutely right.

In Odoo, the reservation method determines when and how the system reserves stock for delivery orders. Setting the reservation method to "Manually" gives you full control over the stock reservation process. Reservation Methods in Odoo:

  1. At Confirmation:
    • Stock is reserved immediately when the delivery order (DO) is created (e.g., confirming a sales order).
    • Best for high-availability products.
  2. Manually ✅:
    • No automatic reservation.
    • You or a warehouse manager must manually click "Check Availability" on the delivery order.
    • Useful when stock is limited or subject to change.
  3. Before Scheduled Date:
    • System reserves products a set number of days before the scheduled delivery date.
    • Can be configured from the Operation Type settings (like "Delivery Orders").

Set Reservation Method to "Manually":

  1. Go to Inventory > Configuration > Operation Types.
  2. Open the operation type you want to change (e.g., Delivery Orders).
  3. In the field Reservation Method, select "Manually".
  4. Save the changes.

This is especially useful for made-to-order workflows or low-stock/high-demand situations, where you want to control which orders get priority.
