Hi,

We just opted in for Odoo V13. We sell software.

I am looking at attaching a licence number when a product is sold. And at some point to quickly access every licence number that is tied to a customer in the contact view. The licence number is now generated by our system. I am not looking for odoo to random generate a number. Just attach a serial number to a product.

 Thanks in advance for any advices that can lead me in the right direction.

Go to Inventory > Configuration > Settings and enable the Lots & Serial Numbers feature  in the Traceability section. This will allow you to enter a Serial No. at the time of picking while processing the Delivery Order.
