Custom outgoing email server deactivates Odoo online's default email provider

Hi,

I've been trying to implement a custom email server to send mass emailing.

I have successfully managed to setup Brevo, previously known as Sendinblue, and am currently correcting the SPF / DKIM/ DMARC issue that sends all emails to spam.

However, an unintended consequence occured :

Odoo internal emailing (from purchasing, sales, etc...) module that was relying on the default email server has started using the new server although I specifically asked to use it only in the Email Marketing app settings :

+ Settings > General >use external server deactivated

+ Settings > Email Marketing > Use external server for emailing activated

I archived temporarily the server and the flow resumes properly.

Hence my question :

+ How to setup the email system such that internal Odoo emails go through the default Odoo email server, and only mass newsletter email go through the external server?

Apology Yi Lin, my message got sent after pushed enter.

Let's say you want to use external mass email server provider and Odoo default server for your internal emails.

1) Deactivate external outgoing server in the main settings page

2) Activate external outgoing server for mass email in the settings > Email Marketing App

3) Create your email server,

4) Create a campaign and use your custom server,

5) Send a test marketing email, you should receive it correctly from your external server,

6) By now, you may still have a problem with the external email.

The key for me was to change the server priority. As indicated in the technical field comment, the priority should be adjusted. I put 3 and it seems to work.

As I said, i'll confirm finally on Monday after the team start sending internal emails.
