Here I need to set each products in inventory to a specific location and these products will not be stored in any other location.

So when i need to update quantity of product from product form by clicking the quantity on hand button the resulting windows shows always WH/stock as the default location and how is it possible to make the locations you want to be the default location in the window so it is convenient to not change the locations every time.

Hi.

Are you looking to change the default value of the field ?   If so , follow these method, activate the developer mode. Then click on the Update Qty on Hand button , then you will get the wizard, from here you can set a location as the default location.


First you have  to select the value in the field which have to be set as default. Then click on the debug button in top left corner, then click Set defaults.

And is that possible to set default location based on products such that if we add a new field for default location in product form and when we try to update quantity of that product then the default location in the pop-up should be same as products default location we added in custom field.
