Hi there I'm testing v7 before migration from v6, and on a product I cannot see the costing method, though I'm connected as admin. Any idea where I can find that?

You have to check the field Costing Method for the desired users in menu "Settings / Users" in tab Access Rights
See menu Settings>>Users in the tab Access Rights
check Costing Method
