Hello Everyone,


We are currently facing an issue in Odoo related to backdating invoices and ensuring that inventory movements reflect the correct date. 


Here's a brief overview of the problem:

When we post a backdated invoice in Odoo (for example, an invoice dated 05.01.2024), we are able to modify both the Order Date and the Scheduled Date to match the invoice date. However, we have encountered difficulty in modifying the Deadline and Effective Date, Effective Date seems to be crucial for reflecting the correct date of inventory movements.



Our understanding is that the Effective Date, that is related to the Date which appears in the Move History, determines the date the product is moved from inventory. Despite our efforts to adjust the Order Date and Scheduled Date, we have not found a way to ensure that the Effective Date aligns with the invoice date.




Has anyone encountered a similar issue. Specifically, we would like to know if there is a way to backdate an invoice effectively in Odoo and ensure that inventory movements occur on the same date.
