I've created an automated action related to the Quants model, which has a lot of updates each minute, this is slows down validation processes in Odoo 14 Community version.


I'd like to transform this automated action in a scheduled action in order to execute it only one time each day.


Is there any way to see the pyhton code created for this automated action? Or should I write it by myself from zero?

I hope you are doing well,

Converting Automated Action to Scheduled Action in Odoo 14
1. Find your code : Go to Settings > Technical > Automation > Automated Actions, copy the Python code from your action
2. Create scheduled action: Go to   Settings > Technical > Automation > Scheduled Actions > Create, set interval to 1 day.
3. Adapt the code: Replace records with a search query:
  # Before (Automated Action):
  records.write({'processed': True})

  # After (Scheduled Action):
  env['stock.quant'].search([('processed','=',False)]).write({'processed': True})
4. Disable old action: Uncheck Active on the original automated action.
5. Result: Code runs once daily instead of on every quant update, fixing your performance issue.

Key:  Automated actions use records variable; scheduled actions need env['stock.quant'].search([domain]) to fetch records manually.
