Hey Odoo´ers..
is anybody aware of a device, that is compatible with Odoo online instance for logging employees attendances and working "out-of-the-box"? Ideally without having a logged in user for activating the kiosk mode...
Or is it necessary to develop or buy a 3rd party module for getting this done? Which would mean, that Odoo online is not the right choice for this approach...
Any comments on that are highly appreciated.

Hi, we have a module that will integrate with attendance device (ZKTECO) then synchronize into odoo attendance app, please check at https://viindoo.com/apps/app/15.0/to_attendance_device
Any barcode reader should be able to scan the badge, but you would need it to be connected to a device that is logged in to kiosk mode.
Even a mobile phone or ipad can be used for scanning with its inbuild camera. You can download Odoo app or login to DB via the browser to your database and enable kiosk mode

For integrating your attendance device in odoo you have to use custom application. I think odoo online is not suitable for your requirement. Odoo online is unable to extend the default odoo functionality. If you need any help contact us.
