In Odoo 17, direct assignment of analytical tags to fixed assets is missing compared to Odoo 15. To work around this, consider using analytic distribution models to automatically assign tags based on conditions. Custom development can add the tag field back to the fixed asset form. If you have Odoo Enterprise, Odoo Studio can create automated actions to assign tags based on asset criteria.

Alternatively, focus on consistently using analytic tags on journal items related to the fixed asset, enabling tracking in reports. When reporting, filter by the asset's analytic account and group by related analytic tags. Remember that Odoo Studio and advanced reporting are Enterprise features, and custom development requires ongoing maintenance.
