Just getting started with Odoo online V8 accounts. Is it possible to make some trial entries to see if it works as I hope & then delete all entries if there is a problem?

If you want to be sure, use a test system. Due to the manifold relational dependencies it can become cumbersome - depending on what you are doing - at least to cancel entries if not becoming impossible at all.
