I try to import additional information for supplier. Therefore I exported the list of supplier with the external ID, to use this one for the import. I only want to add the phone numbers for the supplier. Unfortunately I always get the error: 'Contacts require a name'.
Can please someone help me?

Hi, thank you so much. That was the problem.
The items I wanted to import are not in the system. So I thought Odoo will create an external ID by itself. But I have to create an external ID by myself.

Hi Marc,
You don't have to create external ids for the records. instead, when exporting the list of suppliers you have to choose the option "I want to update data (import-compatible export)". So that odoo will export the excel/csv sheet with the external ids of records.

It seems somehow the external id is missing during the import and system is trying to create new record instead of updating the existing record.
Check and ensure whether the external id is used while importing the record.
