During the production process we might have to use a different product than the one defined in the bom (raw material no more in stock or not yet available, light customization...). How could we modify the product to consume in a manufacturing order before production? Apparently this was possible in v6.1, but I could not find it in v7.

The three other threads you are mentioning are about modifying output quantities only. But I need as well to be able to define the components and the by_products used or produced at the end of the manufacturing process.
About the quantities, it seems that the earlier post is the one of Kindiss!
