About the Job
Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) – Brisbane, CA
Odoo is hiring a Technical Support Engineer to deliver high-quality technical solutions and support for our SMB customers across North America. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges while serving as a trusted advisor to customers and partners.
We’re looking for a problem solver with strong programming fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate technical solutions into clear business value. This role offers hands-on exposure to a wide range of industries, technologies, and real-world business processes.
Responsibilities
- Own and resolve customer-reported support tickets and bugs for Odoo products
- Investigate technical issues by identifying root causes, symptoms, and scope
- Propose and implement short-term fixes and long-term solutions
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to resolve complex challenges
- Act as a technical advisor to customers and partners
- Communicate product functionality and value to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Support SaaS, PaaS, and self-hosted Odoo environments
- Develop and troubleshoot solutions using Bash, Python, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL
- Document solutions and contribute to shared knowledge bases
- Continuously improve processes to enhance customer experience
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Bash, Python, JavaScript, and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Portuguese fluency (professional or native/bilingual)
- Understanding of ERP systems (CRM, Accounting, Inventory, POS)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams
Nice to Have
- 1–3 years of professional experience (technical support preferred)
- Experience with Odoo or other ERP platforms
- Background in SaaS or startup environments
- Experience working with Unix/Linux systems
- Additional languages: Spanish, French, or Portuguese
- A proactive mindset focused on continuous learning and improvement

The estimated annual compensation range for this role is $85,000–$105,000. Actual salaries may vary within, above, or below this range based on education, training, experience, professional achievement, business needs, and location.
