Question for Odoo R&D Team:
Till 14.0 we used to have a search bar that allowed the user to search through the content of the messages in Discuss. Does anyone know why this has been removed in 15.0?
NOTE:
After logging a ticket with Odoo Support we have received the following clarifications. But they do not say why the ability to search the contents of the messages has been removed.
Clarifications from Odoo Support:
".... the search bar appears when you have 20 channels / direct messages but it does not allow to search for content, only for names of conversations...."
" ....The reason for that is because, before you have that many channels/messages, there is no real use to search for a contact that you are talking to.
To search for the content of messages, you can go to Settings (in developer mode) > Technical > Messages and search for the content you are looking for or a particular author (see image attached)...."
This is not solution for users as users have access to Settings in most cases
I am interested in this topic too. Did anyone found solution?
