Hey guys, I would like to know how to delete serial numbers, an error message stops me :
deletion: you may be trying to delete a record while other records still reference it
creation/update: a mandatory field is not correctly set
[object with reference: Quants - stock.quant]
My products are in the stock, my admin account seem to have the full-rights.

It sounds like your Inventory is referencing the serial number you are trying to delete. If you deleted the serial number, that inventory note would be unlinked with a product. You need to find that product within your inventory/stock and change the reference to an internal reference or another field. Then try removing the serial again.

Sorry, I realize that is a little confusing. Find the item in the inventory that has that serial number and remove it from there. If it is linked to a PO/SO/SQ/etc. you can use another field to identify the product such as the Internal Reference Number, External ID, Barcode, or something along those lines. The serial number is currently linked to the two areas (product and inventory sheet). You need to connect with something else before you can disconnect them and remove the serial number. Hopefully this helps.

I'm back on this issue, I tried to apply what you said, use another field to identify the product, but I always did not understand how to "connect with something else before you can disconnect them and remove the serial number". I cannot delete SN because of registered stock moves and I cannot delete these moves because they are "validated", looks like I cannot turn back. You affirm it's possible to delete the stock moves even if they are validated ? Thanks a lot
