Transactions "stucked" in retained earnings

Question

Hi,

Odoo newbie.
I started using Odoo accounting and I am trying to import journal entries from prior years.
Lots of transactions ended up in the retained earnings account.
I think it might be because some of the accounts were not allowed for reconciliation in the chart of account.
Now they are but still the retained earnings amount would not go down.
Any idea how to fix this?

Not sure if it is due to prior years' closing entries.

Not sure I understand though. Can you elaborate?

When I looked at the journal entries, the transaction is allocated to the correct account (account 78 in this case).
But when lookibg via the balance sheet, the entry is still inside the retained earnings amount.
