We're in implementation right now.  It appears we can only have one location for replenishment, so all receiving goes to that location.  We've chosen our highest level location "Stock".  For PO receipts, I see there is a field in the Header to change the location for the put away.  However, that seems to apply to all lines.  If the Destination Location is changed in the body of the put away form, nothing happens.

Is there a way to assign different locations to each like of a receipt or must that be done by a manual relocation after the receipt is completed?

What is your configuration? Are you using 1 step or 2 step delivery?

If you are talking about Inventory Receipt, and the "Destination Location", then yes, it applies to all lines. If you want to have control regarding what goes where with single step delivery, when receiving product, open Barcode app, and go to operations. Your receiving operation should be there. Open it, and on every single line (on every product) you can click pencil, to edit amount and placement.

It is also possible to assign different locations to different quantities from each line. If a line has 100 units you can store 25 in one location, 50 in another and 25 in another. There is a MOVES button at the top in Odoo 18 and 19 if you have Locations enabled. Manage the locations you push stock to there.

We have it set to one-step delivery.  I see in multi-step, an internal transfer is automatically created in anticipation of the move.  That seems to be an option, since we will move 100% of our incoming receipts.

Try to match what you do. If everything gets unloaded directly to a receiving dock, then put away, two step is perfect. If employees can unload to a storage location, one step is best. Configure for the most common. You can always cancel the second step if things are slow and you have time to unload directly to a storage location.

Thanks, Ray.  That's good advice.  it's a a small operation with a single warehouse employee.  He accepts delivery and puts them away as time allows.  In fact, the concept of warehouse locations are just being introduced with the odoo implementation.

I'm thinking we start with one-step and do the moves manually.  Then as the process evolves and we're more comfortable, we add more of the automation features.
