Hello team, 

I have a problem with my Epson TM-T20 family cash register printers.
In fact, in the official Odoo documentation, it says that they will only be compatible with IOT. 
So, I would like to know if anyone was able to install this without IOT.

Hello,

Yes, it is possible to directly print PoS orders or restaurant kitchen receipts with any printer that supports the ESC/POS protocol. Please check out the modules below:

  1. For Local/Same Network Setup:
    These modules work within the same network only:
  2. For Cloud or Odoo.sh Hosted Servers:
    Use the following module for cloud-hosted or Odoo.sh environments:

Hello Adja,

It seems that the EPSON TM-T20 series printers do not support the ePOS protocol, which means they cannot utilize the epos module for direct printing without the IoTBox.

As an alternative solution, you may consider using third-party apps such as Omni Print. This app enables direct receipt printing and cash drawer opening functionality.
