When I blog, sometimes I want to change the title of a post. Every once in a while I even want to rename the title of my blog.
Previously, I have shared (shortened) URL's to my posts through different social media: LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, Facebook, ... that all become unusable after any change to the title(s) ! How can I avoid this ? Is there a way to refer to a blog & post using a permanent address, regardless of what it was named over time ? How can I find such links ?

There is no such issue in odoo.
If you change Blog Title yes it changes URL but then also your previous URL works fine
Because it's not depends text of url. it is depends on ID after url.
If your title is Integrating your CMS and E-Commerce your url will be like this
http://odoo.com/blog/our-news-1/post/integrating-your-cms-and-e-commerce-2
If your title is Integrating your CMS your url will be like this
http://odoo.com/blog/our-news-1/post/integrating-your-cms-2
In both case id 2 is common so both url will work. even after changing title your old url will work
