Hello folks,

I have the following situation. We have many different kinds of customers, everyone wanting to pay according to his own desire, but all payments are set up on Sales Order beforehand.

Because of this, we could not set any standard terms of payments to be chosen by operator when filling a SO.

Basically we need an open field (or many line field) on the PAYMENT TERMS that allows us to set how the customer is going to pay that specific order, for example: Customer order US$1000 and operator must set manually the terms:

  1. 13.5% in 30 days by deposit
  2. 27,5% in 45 days by cash
  3. 5% in 52 days by trasfer and it goes.

Anyone help will mostly appreciated.

Thanks and best regards.

The way I would do this is to pre-create the customer payments according to the rules.

For your example, create three payments and set the dates in the future, according to the rules. Save the payments, but don't validate them until they are made by the customer. Then you will have to make one final payment of $0 so you can see the invoice and the three payments and reconcile them together.

TIP: You can enter today + 45 days and when you save the payment, that will be converted into the correct date.
