Hi,
I currently have an issue with a user, when he goes into his Purchase Order he should have at the top Print Download Action.
But the download button is missing, I have checked his permissions and they all seem to be ok. Can anyone help?
Thanks

While on developer mode you might want to
1. validate the import/export setting in General settings
2. For the specific user if they have been provided access to export feature. (Do compare this settings between the users as it seems to be specific to a user)

Is this just happening for the specifc user?
So i guess this is an internal user? or a portal user...? Some additional infos would be helpful. Did you setup specific access rights for this user?
Hi Nils,
Was not setup by myself but he is an internal user. Has the same rights as the person opposite him who CAN see the Download button on a Purchase Order.
Yes just 1 person.
Check settings->Actions->Reports and filter for puchase order. Now check the security tab if there is a groud defined.
I guess there must be some difference to the users that can acess the print option. Maybe inherited by another group.
Hi Nils,
Thanks for trying to help, im pretty new too Odoo so forgive me for my lack of knowledge.
I have gone into debug mode then into settings but cannot find anything that references Actions. But I think your onto something as it does not seem to be a permission set it nust be group defined somewhere.
hey darren,
no worries... you are welcome!
sorry... the proper path is "Settings->Technical (in upper menu)->Actions->Reports"
Debug mode needs to be activated and you need to have access to "technical features".
Hi Nils,
Found that section but there does not seem to be any type of "group Permission" setup for it. Everyone else seems to have it except him and he is all but an admin. So there is something somewhere that disables this button from showing up.
All he has is Print and Action I cannot for the life of me find out why it is not listing download.
Hey...
Is it possible to add some pictures showing the differences you are observing?
Maybe this will sort things out.
It wont let me add any screen shots seems i need more points :)
But it is under Purchase>Select any quote>Under Request for Quotation there should be
Print Download Action
On his screen all he gets is
Print Action
Sorry that I cannot post screenshots it might be more helpful.
i´ll try to reproduce it later locally.
are you running Odoo 14 CE?
I think the standard buttons when selecting a PO are "Print" & "Action".
Is it possible, that the "Download"-button is implemented on your own?
I am not sure to be honest. Everyone else can see the download button including myself.
So the only person that actually needs it cannot see it :P
please let me know about the 14 Version used (Enterprise or Community) and the type of hosting. Just to get an idea of how to tackle this issue.
By the way. Are you the admin of the DB? Who was taking care of it up to now. I think it is very likely, that the download button is customized feature if it appears at the top of the listview of PO´s.
You could also try to find the appropriate button name or its action triggered by the button. This may can help.
Hi Nils,
I am going to pass this over to our provider as it seems they setup something I have been told. I was under the impression we didn't have support, but it turns out we do :)
Thank you for all your assistance though, it has given me some insight at least.
You are welcome.
If you have support... ask them. If they have done this work, they should be able to have a look to it.
If you need more assistance, feel free to contact me via business mail.
Cheers
Nils
