I have a doubt regarding the SMTP configuration in ODOO. 

The thing is, I want to use an external SMTP server to send marketing campaigns, and so far, everything is fine... The issue is that after configuring the external SMTP server, all other actions on the platform that involve sending emails want to use that server instead of the Odoo SMTP. Emails are not being sent through the Odoo SMTP. What could I have misconfigured on my platform?"

note: we have configured the external smtp for the marketing module not for the entire platform

Yes, we have only one external smtp configured and set in the Marketing options.

Therefore, this should not be the one that the platform uses to send messages in other modules.

Even when I register a user, it doesn't send the email and when I see the error it's because it wanted to send it using external SMTP.

Because it works like that using Outgoing Mail Servers

I suggest you to create another Outgoing Mail Server to use it in the rest of the system with a lower priority to be selected to for example send the users invitation email and stuffs like that and since you have linked the marketing one to be used by your campaigns you should be fine working with 2 or more smtp service accounts
