Hello,
I am attempting to use Inter-Company Transactions to automate my company's selling process in Odoo 18.

Company A sells finished products to Customers/Businesses. Company A has components that can be provided to Company B for manufacturing if needed. Company A owns the product records.

Company B handles the manufacturing. Company B maintains its own stock of components for manufacturing.

The Workflow I'd like to achieve:

  1. Company A creates a sales order for a Customer
  2. This should automatically trigger a purchase order from Company A to Company B
  3. Company B receives this as a sales order and creates a manufacturing order
  4. Once manufactured, Company B delivers the product to Company A
  5. Company A then delivers the final product to the Customer

I need assistance setting up the proper routes and Inter-Company Transaction rules for both companies to make this process work smoothly. I've attempted to configure the MTO routes but am having difficulty with the proper sequence of steps across companies.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Simon
