Situation:
1. I have a user

2. I want administrator access for user at Company B

3. I want to restrict access for user at Company A

I have searched far and wide and the only thing I got is to make record rules with the company_id set. I tried it and maybe being a noob, I couldn't make it work. Either I just get the error message or I get an odoo error. I'm accessing the Technical tab and experimenting with this but having trouble. Any help here to help me understand how this works?

I don't think this is possible.

  1. The administrator account (id= 2) is special
  2. Users will be assigned to the same user access groups across all companies
  3. It's theoretically possible to change the record rules to apply differently in each company, but it would be very complicated (and confusing)

You could create a user account with access to Administration / Settings and only to a single company, but the user would need another account for the other company, which is not very convenient.
