Dear Odoo Experts,

Want to implement ERP basic functions based on Odoo. Our requirements are  very basic , therefore implementable with Odoo community edition. But  our challenging is which Odoo CE version should we adapt among 11, 10 and 9. Please kindly suggest to us.

Hi,

For now i will suggest you to use the odoo v10.  Odoo V11 is in its early stage and the bug fix is going on.

Right now you can use the Odoo v10 and also you will get the support many community module available in the Odoo apps in v10.  For v11 the community modules are in less side.

Thanks for your information. I will update to you most stable version after testing 10 and 9 CE versions.

Hmm I'd like to counter your answer a bit though. V10 is also still having bugfixes and don't forget that version 10 is closer to the end of life than V11. V11 will have the end of life one year later as the V10.

@Usman Farzand, Yenthe itself have a poll recently on the same, Odoo says there are releasing new new versions to make the product updated with the latest , for the enterprise users , free migration to latest version is possible

We are thinking either version 8 or 10. because our requirement is very basic and we found version 8 have lot of third party apps rather than 10. Really appreciate for your answer.

If you use the community version, odoo13 is coming soon but I still recommend using odoo10 for stability.

Based on your functional requirements check the availability of third-party modules necessary for your deployment. If they are available, you can easily install the latest version 6 month after the release date.
