is openerp 6.1 unsupported?!!

Hi,
I saw in the nightly site, 6.1 has a note of "unsupported" and 6.0 has a note to say it is "old and stable". So, is it that 6.1 version is unsupported and it is better to use the 6.0 version for any development?

6.0 is a long term support version.
6.1 is stable but it is not long term support.
