Sorry for such a simplistic question.  So much about Odoo Accounting - the online, hosted version - appeals to me.  I am concerned it is just too advanced for my needs but I would really like to convert from QuickBooks - both online and desktop.

I have a spreadsheet with all of my 2023 checks (and another with deposits).  I want to record the checks directly to expense accounts.  I don't need bills because we are cash basis.  Is this possible?  I'd also like to record deposits directly to revenue accounts because we don't need invoicing.

Of course since I have 2023 in spreadsheets, I would prefer to be able to import those spreadsheets.  When I get caught up, then I'll use the bank feeds so I'd also like to know how to directly code those too?

Is this even possible?  Or am I trying to make an advanced accounting system work in an overly simplified way?  I am a retired accountant so I do understand most businesses would need the more advanced setup.  In the US agriculture industry, we just do cash basis bookkeeping because that is all that is required.

I'm also very interested in any resources you would recommend for learning Odoo Accounting (only, no addons) online for use in the US.

Thank you all!
