I have tried importing physical inventory via the Warehouse --> Physical Inventories screen, but it doesn't seem to have any effect.  The imported quantity shows up in the "General Information" tab, but after clicking on the "Confirm Inventory" and "Validate Inventory" buttons, the "Quantity On Hand" field in the Products screen still shows a zero.  Am I missing something?

Will you please tell us in which version you are working on and if possible can you please post screenshot of your warehouse records and physical inventory OR the structure of your warehouse (stock, input and output location)?

We are working in 7.0. We discovered, late yesterday, that it was the location field that seemed to be interfering. Or, more likely, the QoH field in the Products screen wasn't seeing the quantities from the location selected in the import. We were using "Physical Locations / Inventory" in our import file, and this would validate and import. It wasn't until we left this field empty that our imported quantities appeared in the Products screen. OpenERP defaults "Physical Locations / Your Company / Stock" as the location. This is okay for the moment, as we are just testing/evaluating, but we will need to be able to import quantities into different locations in the future.

Jeff, Usually, you should use the Physical Inventory utility for the Initial QoH field and choose the right location. You have to make sure to use the right CSV format while uploading the o2m field. In an another approach, create stock.move with destination location as stock and source as any virtual location, and set all moves done! Thanks.
