We are working with dentists, and some times the dentists request a qty of a product that has multiple variants (ex: color, size, type) but without defining the exact variant they need, they cannot define the variants since the variants are to be defined by their patients on site in the clinic.

The issue here is that we are unable of creating the SO if we have no product variant defined, and if we select a default variant, then it will be mandatory to edit the sales order by adding the correct variant qty that will be issued, but it is not advised to make this possible for the salespersons.

in conclusion, what we need is to create the SO with default variant, but the delivery will be for different variant and this qty must be deducted from the original qty of the default variant in the SO, and add a new line with the correct variant issued qty.

Please advise with the best way to manage this work case.
