Hi,

Recently I revert back to OpenERP (migrated from PostBooks) and I want to start developing custom addons what's the best start point for newbies?

P.S.

  • I've basic knowledge in Python syntax.

  • I use eclipse as IDE for python (I'm not sure if there is better open source alternative)

  • I haven't any knowledge in the used ORM in OpenERP (I don't know how to add my objects)

  • I found the following links but I'm not sure what if they help me out to getting start or they -somehow- advanced for newbies:

Hi, Eclipse with linux is a preferred one for OpenERP custom module development.

You can use Technical Documentation (Technical memento) for all ORM methods in openerp. It will give you a clear picture. You can find these in OpenERP documentation section.

Thanks; What about the other things? You mentioned single subject! I don't know from where I've to start learning how to creator customized addons?!
