hi i have task that required to select specific date and get the total amount in that period (module: sale)
i have tried but i didn't get the same value

you can get the idea from the below module for the specific report by period.

You can get the total as well as untaxed total in sales reporting view. You can define the period from Filter > Add custom filter > Order date and select your criteria (if it is for a period you may want to choose "is between") and provide the relevant dates.
