If you have a product with 3 variants, colour, size and style, how do you exclude one colour for one size and style combination but NOT exclude it for others?
Example:
Colour: Red, Blue
Size: Medium, Large
Style: Long-sleeved, Short-sleeved.
How do I exclude Red for Large Short-Sleeved but keep it available for Medium Short-Sleeved and Large Long-Sleeved?
I have tried to do this by putting Red and Large on one line in the 'exclude for' section but it then excludes ALL the Red items.
Does anyone have a solution after 3 years?
To exclude Red for Large Short-Sleeved while keeping it available for other variants, you need to create specific exclusion rules for each combination. Instead of putting Red and Large on one line, create separate exclusion rules for Large Short-Sleeved and other combinations. This way, you can exclude Red only for the desired variant combination without affecting other Red items.
Hi Tom, I am experiencing the same problem: Odoo ecommerce (all versions) shows all the product configurations as set on the master product (product.template) and does not filter the products that really exist at the product.product variant level.
In the odoo ecommerce product page when configuring product attributes and variants the system does not filter the available combinations but lists all combinations even those that do not exist. Have you found a solution to the problem? Let's say that this functionality is the ABC of an ecommerce system, think for example of complex configurable products.

@Cybrosys, Yes it is right that the system is showing this information 'combination not exists - but the correct solution would be that odoo is not showing unavailable combinations at all. This is what other Shopsystems do.
The question is still: how to hide not available combinations of attributes?

Thanks for your reply and by the way I should have mentioned that I am using odoo.sh v13.
I don’t think that app would help. It’s a little difficult to assess without any screenshots or videos but it seems the app is mostly for creating variants.
I have already successfully created my attributes and variants. My problem now is how to exclude those attribute combinations that do not have a variant.
Firstly, there seem to be no easy way to do this in bulk and secondly it seems impossible to exclude only certain combinations of attributes where you have more than 2 variant attributes.
