Can someone explain why the credit limit field in customer template is removed in v15? 

I know that credit limit can be enter in Partner template as an internal note so that when creating a sales order it will pop up a warning msg or blocking msg. But in previous version there was a credit limit field.

 What is the reason for removing it?

i did not remember normal credit limit in default odoo without third part developments.

Hi,

The feature is not there in Odoo from Odoo v10(i think so). And it will be introduced in odoo 16. If you need the same in odoo 15, you can try the free modules available for the same in odoo apps store.

There wasn't a credit limit feature in Odoo 15. in newer versions there is a simplistic field for it, just running a total of outstanding invoices, but not open orders that are already approved but not yet delivered or invoiced. 

There are some third-party credit limit modules on Odoo's marketplace, though I think the most thorough one is the one Steersman Company provides - I'm on that team. There is a guide to how to use our Odoo credit limit and blocking module and its features here: https://steersman.works/a/392-customer-credit-limits-and-blocks  - totally alright for Odoo users to use our guide to build something similar for themselves if they'd like and would prefer to make their own.
