Using V10 community. When I select use "fixed, average or real time costing" in the purchase settings, the inventory costing is automatically switching to perpetual inventory valuation in the inventory settings. If I change it back to periodic inventory valuation, then the setting in purchases is changed back to "fixed cost".
Is it not possible to have purchase cost fixed or real while using periodic inventory valuation?
The use would be to maintain a more accurate inventory valuation (Inventory/Reports/Inventory Valuation) when there are a lot of price fluctuations, without the added complexity of configuring perpetual inventory journal posting flows.
