When a message is sent via e-mail from CRM it always has as sender notifications@somedomain.com


Is there a way to set it to the e-mail adress of the user that is logged in?

Hi Olivier, 

In Settings -> Technical -> Outgoing Mail Server
​Create a Out Going Mail Server with that user mail 

​Then in the From Filtering add the e-mail of the user.


It worked for me.

Note: The email will be sent from his email address whenever a message is sent, not just in CRM but from all modules.

Thanks, this is a great answer! Already aplying this for one of our clients.

I must remark this is not possible when using the Odoo standard e-mail outgoing server?
