Hi

We have various warehouses and we would like to make a type of internal transfer or even a delivery order with the same or similar route as replenishment - But without using actually replenishment.

The reason we prefer not to use replenishment is due to the Inventory permissions needed to use the replenishment list. Without that permission they can only request individual replenishments from the product page but it is one transfer per product.

We would like either to create a specific delivery order or internal transfer operation for each store with the same type of route. (WH>inter warehouse >Store) and for a Receipt or similar to be created automatically when marked TO DO.  So we get either a pick or out from the dispatch end and an IN or similar on the other end.

Thanks in advance

It isn’t possible to trigger routes (multi-step / with rules) by creating inventory operations. You would need replenishments (or sale or purchase or manufacture) to do so.

The alternate is to trigger an inventory operation with a push rule defined at a location.

Eg.. create inter warehouse transit locations for each store (probably as a child location to transit location for ease of operation.)

Define Push rule - eg

Push from transit location/ Store A to Store A/ Stock with operation type Store A- receipts

To transfer products to Store A create manually a delivery operation from WH/Stock to destination location Transit location/store A

On validation of delivery operation, a receipt operation would be automatically created in Store A.

Hi,

You can achieve this in Odoo by setting up a custom internal transfer route between your main warehouse and each store, without relying on the standard replenishment feature. This involves creating a dedicated route for each store (for example, “Main WH → Store A Transfer”) with rules that automate both the outgoing and incoming movements. Specifically, you can configure a pull rule to create a transfer from the main warehouse’s internal location to an inter-warehouse transit location, and a push rule to automatically generate a receipt to the destination store’s stock location once the transfer is marked “To Do.” Additionally, you can define separate operation types such as “Dispatch to Store” and “Store Receipt” to keep the process organized. By assigning this route to products or product categories, Odoo will automatically generate linked outgoing and incoming transfers, effectively mimicking replenishment behavior. This approach maintains full visibility and control over warehouse movements while allowing warehouse users to handle transfers without requiring replenishment permissions.

Hope it helps
