I am experimenting with community version of odoo 14 and the free app Field Service.
Is there any solution available, that adds some sort of simple timesheet to the free Field Service app?

In Odoo 14 Community Version - Field service app Not available
It is only available in the Enterprise Version
If you are in a need to Simple Timesheets - many addons are available in Odoo App Store
