CinemaNext SA selected Odoo ERP to support its complex, multi-company operations in the cinema services industry. The company operates internationally and offers a range of services, including equipment sales and rental, subscription-based services, project delivery, and on-site field maintenance. Its existing systems were disconnected, making it difficult to consolidate financials, manage inventory across borders, and standardize operational processes.
The implementation began with a detailed requirements-gathering phase, where business units from different countries defined their specific needs. The solution was then designed to unify all companies under a central ERP while allowing localized operations.
The key priorities of the project were:
1. Implementation of multi-company sales, subscription, and rental flows, adapted to different legal and operational frameworks.
2. Deployment of the Project and Field Service modules to manage equipment installations, site visits, technician scheduling, and ticket resolution.
3. Configuration of multi-company inventory and purchase management, allowing shared and localized warehouse operations with intercompany transactions.
4. Setup of a consolidated accounting system to support financial reporting both per entity and at the group level, including currency handling and financial consolidation.
5. Launch of a new website for the U.S.-based company, integrated directly with Odoo backend (products, services, leads).
6. Deployment of maintenance tracking for cinema equipment, including automated maintenance reminders and service-level tracking.
7. Incorporation of expense and approval workflows, ensuring compliance with internal financial procedures across all entities.
The multi-company setup required careful configuration of user access rights, inter-company rules, and data visibility restrictions. Customizations were made to adapt Odoo’s standard modules to CinemaNext’s industry-specific workflows, particularly in the rental and field service areas.
The result is a scalable, integrated system that enables CinemaNext to operate more efficiently across multiple countries while maintaining centralized control and real-time visibility over operations.
